More info: A little more information would be useful. Generally the difficulties of inflammation will get worse by delaying the entire weekend. Thickened, firm, "woody edema" from prolonged inflammation can obscure what is called critical view and make laparoscopy difficult. If your surgical team is waiting, usually more details. Encourage you ask for additional information.
