I was told that most babies sleep through frenotomies. is this true? is it less painful for a newborn?

Frenotomies: Whether or not your baby will sleep during the procedure depends on his/her level of alertness, age, and comforting measures (such as sucrose water, swaddling, etc.) it is possible that your baby will cry, but the procedure time is minimal and likely being done out of necessity.
