Start with primary: Any person performs at their best when they have adequate restorative sleep, proper nutrition, good health and are in a comfortable setting. Lack of any of these staples will create symptoms similar to ADHD.Attention to these issues would be the first stage of an evaluation. If all are in order, other testing would be done. Be leery of anyone who would offer meds without a thorough assessment.

ADHD: See your doc to rule out any medical conditions. Then see a clinical psychologist who specializes in ADD/ADHD and he/she can test you, diagnose, and prescribe strategies to help, Peace and good health.

Adhd Testing: There is no one test for ADHD, and a diagnosis is based on reports and observed behavior via checklists and interview. 2 tests being used to improve diagnostic precision are a Neuro EEG (NEBA) and Continuous Performance Tests (my preference is the IVA+). These can aid in the diagnosis process they have to be interpreted by a specialist typically a psychologist.
