Earlobe knot: A new lump or lesion in the earlobe could be scar tissue from an injury or a fatty or skin-type growth. Best to have your son's doctor take a look to see if it needs to be removed or if observing it is the better course of action.

Not to worry: Hard to say what this is. Has he ever had his ear pierced? If so, then this is scar tissue or a keloid. The other most likely possibility is a cyst that is growing, like a sebaceous cyst. These are easily removed if it is a problem for him.
