Watch and wait: What you described suggests an enlarged lymph gland that may be from an infection in and around the head. You may watch and wait. You may feel the node every day, if the lymph gland doubles in size, becomes painful, ulcerates, or other nodes become enlarged, or the child develop fever, or loses weight, you should see a doctor.
