Needs to be seen: HE needs to be seen , sounds like he might have an infection. You did not mention temperature, if elevated an ER visit may be the best choice, if cannot see PCP immediately, Best Wishes

Congestion: Likely nasal congestion with left ear congestion. Perhaps allergies.
