Take as prescribed: First, be sure you have adhd; it not a disorder that suddenly appears at age 44. If you really have adhd, chances are good that a stimulant will help and be reasonably safe. Nicely, the effect is quite rapid, so you should quickly know if it is helping, once you are are the right dose. Don't give Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) to others, do take more than prescribed, and only take if if you really find it helps.

Try It: If the diagnosis is correct and the mediacation has been prescribed, one can assume it is necessary to help you focus and be less impulsive.Hopefully this will help life be more successful and fullfilling. If no side effects, try it.

Need=get=use: The issue seems simple but it is not. These medications are safe and effective if used appropriately by someone who needs them. The meds are also class 2 controlled drugs.Your doc must confirm and chart the reason you would be placed on the med, and each prescription is monitored. Possession without a prescription can put you in jail as would giving it to others.
