Ask your MD: This is a difficult question and best answerec by the doctor who has cared for you. You would need to know the cause of the pe, residual deficit, did a filter get put in, are you on coumadin (warfarin)......Ask your specialist this question. In general though, activity tends to help blood flow and decrease the risk of a clot forming that could then go on to emboli and become a pe.

Depends: It depends on the treatment given and the specific clinical situation which needs to be discussed with your doctor. In general the effects of the pe may resolve completely with either the bodies ability to dissolve the clot or with specific treatments. In such patients they are not limits on exercising. A subset of patients may fail to do this and need to discuss with their doctor.
