As a diabetic should i limit on eating meat to prevent future kidney issues?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

MEAT AND KIDNEYS: There are other products out there loaded with protein , in higher concentrations than red meat. The issue with meat is fat content. As a diabetic, reasonable portions of lean red meat are not going to cause you kidney failure. What triggers renal failure is longterm, poor diabetic sugar control. This does not happen overnight either.
