Black eye: The force caused soft tissue swelling ANS a broken blood vessel in your eye lid. This will resolve with time, may use warm compresses to help.

Black eye: Capillaries under your eye were injured and leaked blood into the surrounding tissue. This is why the tissue became discolored.
