Arthritis, infected?: Certain kinds of arthritis could cause this combination of symptoms and problems, notably certain infections and the condition called reactive arthritis. There are plenty of other possibilties and it's difficult to guess. Some are potentially serious, so get seen soon. (Do it today if fever over 101, chills, or swelling/pain are severe.)
