See a dentist: Tooth pain always has a cause and dentist's are trained to determine the problem and treat it appropriately. Medications may slightly "dull" the pain but are not definitive treatment to eliminate the cause of your pain.

See a dentist.: You need to check the source of the tooth pain. Taking Norco (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) is not the solution.

See a dentist: You've tried to treat yourself and it's not working. You need to see a dentist for a definitive diagnosis and treatment so that you can be helped.

See Dentist: Tooth pain is due to infection causing fierce inflammation in the surrounding area. Antiinflammatory meds like Ibuprofen and aleve (naproxen) are most effective. They will mask the pain and the infection could go on to become an abscess which could be life threatening. You could contine the antiinflammatory after get the correction with the possibility of increasing the bleeding somewhat. Check with dentist.

Wrong approach: Most dental pain caused by infection. Tylenol/Codeine combination are both pain killers, and will not cure the infection, only block the signals being sent to your brain that you need professional help. you can't treat this yourself, you need a General Dentist to start. He/she may treat you or refer you to appropriate Dental Specialist, depending on cause and extent. Please call Dentist now.
