Other issues: The change in medication dosage is minimal and the reduction in tylenol (acetaminophen) is wise. You may benefit from a muscle relaxant. If your pain remains severe, you should see your surgeon.

Different meds: It is not uncommon for patients to experience different degree of pain relief with similar medications prepared by different companies. Same thing can occur with generic versus name brand medications. You happen to have better response to lortab. Your doctor can adjust the types of medication you are taking to keep you comfortable after surgery.
