Likely viral infecti: From your description of symptoms and the season, and near record setting year for er visits for viral respiratory infections, you can conclude this is what you are suffering from. Rest, liquids, Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever and comfort. Best of luck to you.
