Let me explain: Severe abdominal cramps, also known as belly ache, is pain in the stomach region extending from the lower chest to the groin. Because there are many different organs in the stomach area, such pain can originate from organs related to digestion, including small or large intestines, the liver, gall bladder, appendix, kidneys or the spleen.
