What makes your throat click and pop a lot when you swallow saliva?

Normal functions: When you swallow, you often hear a click in your ears because the eustachian tube opens and allows air from your upper throat into the middle ear to equalize pressure. Often, there is some clicking of the larynx or voice box as it rises in your throat with a swallow. It is all normal mechanics of swallowing and most of the time people don't notice it unless they focus on it.

It sounds like TMJ: Your symptoms seem to me to be temporomandibular joint syndrome. I suggest to see your dentist for him to check it.. He can fit you with a special appliance that you wear at night to help relieve those symptoms. Also do you chew gum all day? Grind your teeth day and night?
