A member asked:

Is intestinal metaplasia with mild dysplasia curable? if yes, how? what medication to be followed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: I am not sure if your metaplasia is in the esophagus or stomach. If you have barrett's esophagus with mild dysplasia, it can be managed with radiofrequency ablation, which is very effective. If it involves the stomach, there is no specific treatment, except maybe to eradicate h. Pylori or avoid offending environmental agents. Medications for both may include a proton pump inhibitor.
