Can mirtazapine be taken in the day and night ie small dose at nigh to assist sleep, and a higher dose in the day for anxiety?

Yes but...: Mirtazapine may make you drowsy taken in the daytime, thats why it is a bedtime med. For most. It is recommended for depression but does make you sleepy even at small doses.
