A member asked:

Can a persistent corpus luteum cause an increase in progesterone beyond normal post-ovulatory levels?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Since a corpus luteum has the capacity (and the function) to produce progesterone, it's certainly possible for it to produce Progesterone beyond the normal post-ovulatory levels.
