Sure: If dentistry "bothers" you, then why not spend a little extra so that you are comfortable and without stress? Talk to your dentist or oral surgeon. At age 39 you are young, talk to them about dental implants or all-on-4 which will be more durable and comfortable than regular gum tissue supported dentures, gums recede over time, pain begins.

Yes: The oral surgeon will be able to treat you without the concern of you being stressed or fearful. After the procedure is completed, you probably will not remember anything.

Totally worth it: Why be awake for the procedure. Consider sedation and you would not remember a thing. Being awake for having all your teeth extracted is not pleasant especially if the teeth are infected.

IV Sedation: If you are phobic in getting necessary dental treatment, IV sedation is the best way to get your treatment completed. In addition, sometimes, it might be difficult to get deep anesthesia, so IV sedation is an option.
