Start slowly as tol: If all it was was a bone contusion and an mr showed no ligament injury, as soon as u are feeling good, start on ur own. Kixk some, run cut & if all is well get back into competition slowly. Don't play all 3 periods. Start with 1 and work up 2 as tolerated.

2-3 months: Bone contusions seen on MRI can take 6-8 weeks to heal with avoidance of high impact activity. 6 weeks of physical therapy usually can get you back in shape to play safely.
