I have an ear ache, fever, sore throat with trouble swallowing, and stuffy nose. i've been taking motrin, nyquil, and vitamin c. nothing really helps.

Viral URI: Try a decongestant (pseudoephedrine) and a saline nasal irrigation using a neti pot (see your pharmacist).

Cold: It can be a simple cold, but it sounds like it's time for an examination. There is a possibility of an ear infection, but these symptoms can also result from a simple virus infection. Don't be in a rush to get antibiotics if your doctor feels they're not warranted. Motrin, nyquil & vitamin c sound fine otherwise. Plenty of water, also.
