As above: When we get old , we can have many diseases. And cure sometimes is not an option , but we try to decrease patient's suffering. Talk with his physician for advise.

Perhaps this issue: If true pins and needle paresthesias, it might be due to peripheral neuropathy or if intermittent, perhaps a transient ischemic attack, or brief nerve compression. See a neurologist and get this answered as treatments could really make a big difference.
