Infant cough: An infant has very tiny air passages and even a mild bronchitis can be difficult to clear. Some viruses, such as respiratory syncytial virus (rsv), can be quite problematic for infants. You should consult a pediatrician and see if a course of antibiotics might be used, in combination with good hydration and, perhaps, steam inhalation (check with your doctor first), especially if it is very dry.

Nasal rinse: If her lungs are clear when the physician listens to her on exam, it may be that the cough is caused by post nasal drip. Keeping her nasal passages clear using saline drops and gently suction may help, in addition to keeping the airway humidified with a humidifier. I would advise a visit with your physician, especially if it is not improving.
