A member asked:

How high does my heart rate have to be in order for me to be in a "weight loss zone"? like as long as my heart is pumping really fast am i shading lbs

A doctor has provided 1 answer

220 minus age x0.6: The general rule for an aerobic workout, assuming you have no health reasons not to work out vigorously, is to aim for a heart rate of 60 percent of max, which is 220 minus your age (so your max is 220 - 23 or 197, and 60% of this is 118). Note that this general rule is controversial, and not everyone believes in it.
