Ten to fourteen days: The usual course of treatment is ten to fourteen days for a wound infection, and you should expect to see improvement within 3 days. If you continue to have pus seeping from the wound, you should return to your doctor for re-evaluation.

Depends: If you have swelling (/edema) of the legs, it may keep open & draining for long time, due to the pressure effect keeping wound from closing/healing propperly. You may even need a vascular surgery consultation. But, if not, then likely once the body decides whatever dirt/toxin/invader it is trying to weep away is gone, it will stop. You can help by changing bandages whenever wet & allowing air time.
