Tinnitus Neuritis: Buzzing "in the head" or often reported in the ears is a symptom we call tinnitus. It's exact cause is unknown and sometimes is because of middle ear problems (chronic otitis), or inflammation of the auditory nerve often due to a viral infection. Neither condition causes skin problems on the scalp and "scabs" are often due to chronic itching or picking. You might want to be seen by an ENT doctor.
