Can klonopin (clonazepam) cause general weakness for long periods? i took my last dose yesterday. it was .25 mg and i don't feel much better. took it for a week

Maybe: Klonopin (clonazepam) is a benzodiazepine class drug which can cause drowsiness and fatigue. Your dose was small and unlikely to cause pronounced weakness. It's duration of activity can last 48 hours after your last dose.

Yes: Some people may perceive the effect of Clonazepam and other "benzo" drugs as lethargy or weakness. As with other drugs, if you saw little or no benefit from klonopin, (clonazepam) you are not likely to benefit from its continuation. Although some meds take weeks or longer to have a beneficial effect, that should not be true of this drug. Please follow up with your provider so the best treatment can be found.
