Is using a vicks humidifier ok to use by my 9 month old babys bed?

Humidifier's fine: I would not put Vicks in the humidifier.I consider all aromatic (smelly) compounds as irritants that aggravate cough and congestion in infants. I still remember the smell from childhood, but have never recommended it for preschool kids.
