Try Temp Fill: You may have a leaky temp. Most pharmacies carry temporary dental filling material--its a powder/liquid mix. Mix it a little thick, dab the sensitive area of the tooth along the gums with a cotton ball to dry it out, then use your finger to rub the temp material across the surface and into the space between crown & gums. Hope it helps!

See below: Go to your drug store and get a temporary dental filling material--its a powder/liquid mix. Make a thick mix... Dry the space with a q tip or tissue and place the material with your finger in that area. You can also try placing clove oil with a q tip which might also reduce the sensiitivity.

Temporary crown: As long as the pain is not prolonged and lingering it is normal to feel sensitive to cold if there is a gap. Keep it clean and use sensodyne toothpaste on the area. Stay away from extreme temperatures.

Not a big problem: The discomfort is due to exposed dentin. Keep the area clean. Avoid sugary and acidic food and see your dentist on monday.
