A member asked:

Quit smoking was 3 weeks ago, anti depressants 5 days ago. i feel like my brain doesn't work properly but how long do i need to wait?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: I would first ask you: why did you stop smoking and the anti-depressant at basically the same time? It complicates determining what is causing what. Amt of time it will take depends upon smoking history (#of years x # of cigs/day) and upon the specific anti-depressant ;the dosage and length of time you were on the anti-depressant. I hope you have a md helping you sort this out.
