A member asked:

What is the difference between colorectal cancer/tumor or internal hemorrhoids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Important difference: Hemorrhoids are a benign disease, in other words a problem that for most people is not serious. They are like varicose veins. Symptoms are seeing blood in the stool from time to time. Cancer can produce the same symptoms but is a very different disease. In this problem cells that line the colon change into cancer cells. These cells grow and grow without control. This is brief i know.
