Yes: At the very least there will be local anesthesia. General anesthesia is unlikely unless it is a huge cyst. Sedation or twilight is possible. Best to talk to your surgeon about this!

Most likely local.: It depends on the size of the cyst. We have taken care of head and neck masses that were quite large and had to be taken out in the or. They turned out to be sebaceous cysts. Most often they are spall enough to be taken out after giving local anesthesia.

Depends: This depends on the location of the cyst, as well as on your tolerance. Local anesthesia can assist with most of these, but the location might make the surgeon want to use a some anesthesia.
