A member asked:

I've had an abscess for one and a half years now, how can i get it removed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends where...: Axillary or inguinal abscesses are very hard to remove and the diagnosis is hidradinitis suppurative is difficult to treat. Sometimes hormonal regulation using birth control or a medicing like spironolactone can be useful. Best person to see for this is a general surgeon.
