A member asked:

If my husband && i both just got over the flu, should i get tamiflu (oseltamivir) for my 2 year old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Tamiflu (oseltamivir) per the cdc should be used in people with documented flu who have other serious health problems to help them get over the flu. It does not prevent the flu and when used makes a 7 day illness 6 to 6.5 days so really not much benefit.
