Vasculitis: Vasculitis is an autoimmune disease and different vessels can be affected. You should see a rheumatologist for the proper diagnosis.

Probably Not: Vasculitis is usually not related to injury or prior vascular disease. Temporal arteritis (which it sounds like you might be describing) is most commonly something that "just happens" with no known cause or trigger.
