Prostate: Not part of neurological system but is part of urologic system. Depends on cause if you have infection which can be treated. If you have age related hypertrophy it can be treated and size reduced but will never return to baseline.

Reproductive: The prostate is part of the reproductive system. It lubricates the urethra prior to ejaculation and provides a happy environment for your swimmers, to maximize their chance of surviving a long swim. After you are done having kids, it's just there to cause you problems and give your urologist something to do.

Not really: No, the prostate isn't much like the eyeball. If the prostate gets enlarged, it's usually for different reasons that if the eyeball does--for example if the eyeball is injured. But most young men don't worry about their prostate being enlarged unless someone told them it is. If it is, the reason should be found out, and treated.
