Endocervix: Envision the cervix looking like a lifesaver candy. The whole in the center is the cervical os. The tissue beyond or deeper to the cervical os is the endodermis. I hope this is helpful.

What did your gyn : Say ? I assume a gyn is doing the swab or be=rush so your gyn should explain what he or she is doing! the endocervix is the cervical canal inside the cervix, it is sampled during a pap smear or during a colposcopy with the ecc.
