Depends: Viscous blood just is a fancy name for thick blood. Depending on the cause will depend on therapy. If its from too many red blood cells then phlebotomy is treatment. If its from high vholesterol then Atorvastatin is apropiate. No not over the counter. Need rx from dr. But very cheap and some large chains dispense it for free.

Hyperviscosity: Increase viscosity of the blood has multiple cause, not only high cholesterol. Only doctor can find out the reason. Atorvastatin is the generic name of Lipitor (atorvastatin) and only you can get it by prescription.
