Dry eye or sinus: The eyes may be dry overnight, and the use of artificial tears at bedtime and again in the morning could help prevent this. Also, some people's eyes come open some while they sleep, and a thicker eye lubricant can at bedtime can be helpful in those cases. Pulsation is an unusual symptom, but could be present with sinus disease or congestion, or with headaches in general.
