Yes: Absolutely! when you first get your periods, they are what is called anovulatory - often with no eggs released. As your hormonal processes are maturing they tend to be somewhat unsynchronized for several years. This irregularity is usually for several years, into late teens. Please realize that even if most periods anovulatory, pregnancy can happen!
