Depends: Women may have prolonged or irregular bleeding associated with their first few months to years of menses. If the bleeding is extremely heavy and prolonged that is more of an issue and may be a sign of a bleeding disorder. IF the bleeding is light it is less of an issue. If her bleeding is heavy please see a gynecologist.
