My lips are dry and cracking i can't seem to use chap stick lip gloss or even vasoline because ill get a cold sore every time. anything else i can try?

Try this...: Take a topical antiviral ointment like zovirax , denavir, (penciclovir) or viractin and use it in combination with a lip balm or petroleum coating. You could even use abreva. These ointments have petroleum bases which will help lubricate your cracked lips and provide antiviral protection. Make sure you discuss with your dentist why you keep getting cold sores when applying these agents.
