Can you get pregnant if you miss depi shot appointment?

Probably not: The 3-month interval for depo-provera is calculated to protect even the fastest metabolizers. The longer you go past this time, the greater the chance of becoming pregnant, but it is not an instant deadline. If you wait a month or more, your doctor may want to wait an interval while you use protection and then get a pregnancy test before giving you your next shot.

Risk is small but: Since regular injections of depo-medroxyprogesterone acetate significantly reduce but do not eliminate your risk of pregnancy entirely, you can get pregnant, particularly if you "miss your shot appointment" by many weeks. Be safe; check your pregnancy test as soon as you can and if it is negative, get another contraceptive injection of Depo-Provera ASAP and use condoms also for more protection.
