Rare 2 remove 1 side: A true 'double uterus' is a uterine didelphys with two uteri, each with its own tube, and two cervices. This does not need surgery. If you are getting pain you need to be evaluated by a specialist, looking for a noncommunicating horn, where part of the uterus has nowhere for the menstrual blood to drain out (hematometra), endometriosis, or a vaginal septum with hematocolpos (blood in the vagina).
