Good question...: A dysfunctional gallbladder is also known as biliary dyskinesia in medical jargon and is a poorly understood gallbladder disorder responsible for abdominal pain that mimics gallstones. The diagnosis is made with a nuclear medicine test called hida scan with cck challenge. Positive test is defined as a abnormally low gallbladder ejection fraction with or without reproduction of symptoms.
