Gabapentin: This compound may induce somnolence and dizziness in some people who take it. These effects seem to lessen with time the longer you are taking it. Would recommend not driving, operating instruments or other activities while you are experiencing side-effects. Not aware of any simple means of reversing the sensation of sleepiness.

Take at night.: Take the majority of the dose later in the day or at bedtime. The sedation decreases the laonger you take the drug. You should be careful of taking it with other sedating drugs, especially early in your use of the medication.
