Trauma or Infection: You may have traumatized your tongue (muscle tenderness) or have developed an infection or canker sore that is causing this problem. You need to see a dentist to evaluate your problem and determine the best treatment.

See ur doctor: You first need an intro oral examination by your dentist or ent, to begin the diagnostic process. Your symptoms can be due to something quite simple, to one that can be more serious. Be well.

Hurting Tongue: Chances are pretty good that you bit your tongue while eating and didn't realize it. If you have not had your wisdom teeth removed, they could also be causing this. If it's from a bite, it should clear up in 2-3 days but if it persists you need to see your dentist.
