Esophageal Pain: It sounds like the food irritated your esophagus on the way down and got "stuck." ordinarily, these symptoms should completely disappear shortly, especially if you drink some liquids. If not, it may be a sign that you have a partial obstruction or a "pouch, " known as a diverticulim, in the esophagus, which should be investigated by a gastroenterologist.
