Pain from test: Cck (cholecystokinin) is naturally occurring hormone that is injected intravenously as part of hida scan to stimulate the gall bladder contraction. Pain could be related to gall bladder disease. Cck can also cause pain related to irritable lowel syndrome.Typical right upper quadrant pain would implicate possible gall bladder as etiology.

Gallbladder pain: The pain was likely from gallbladder not stomach. It happened most likely after the injection of cck to induce gallbladder contraction.
